The New
I've been gone for a while but now I find the need to share. At first, I wanted something that everyone would be interested in but, I would much rather share what interests me and what I'm about as a person. Focusing my attention on "attracting a reader base" wouldn't encompass that; so I hope that I'm not too irregular for most people. From now on, I will share my most passionate thoughts of the day. (Note: some days there may be more than one - smile.)
Today, it's ignorance. There was a person who injured himself at my workplace today. He is gay. So what!!??? Right? Most people would think. But not some of the ignoramuses that work with me. As blood poured off of this man, many people were spewing comments such as, "I won't clean it-I have kids". Every word out of these ignorant mouths pissed me off! Because a person is gay doesn't mean that a disease is automatically attached to them. Even so, I took a pair of LATEX gloves and BLEACH and cleaned it. WHAT IS SO HARD!!!??? These same people then swore that even THAT was too risky. My problem is this:
1.) Heterosexuals contract AIDS on a DAILY basis
2.) What makes your sancrimonious ass so sure that your husband/wife isn't shooting you the virus this very night? Do you know where they are constantly? How, an ankle bracelet?
3.) I can't stand a "judger". Who in the hell bestowed you with that power? Let me know so that I can inform them of their poor and hasty judgement.
4.) If you speak, then know as well. Nothing comes through Latex and bleach kills even the deadliest of viruses. If you don't know, then don't speak.
I think that my look said more than my words ever could have. They then looked at me, shut up, and let me clean. A man was bleeding profusely and had been injured severely enough to go to the emergency room. Someone whom they smiled and laughed with all day, every day. The behavior shown was sick. It was a disgusting display of sheer ignorance.
