Time Is Money

Many people think that how they manage their day is negotiable. I'm not one of them. My mother taught me (and I strongly believe to this day) that TIME=MONEY. I have two jobs. One job bullshits with the schedule and the "second" job needs my time which=my money. As a result of this, I switched my schedule from days to nights on one job, and from nights to days on my "second" job. (This part is confusing.) Me doing this made my 1st job my 2nd job and my 2nd job my 1st. Following? Anyway, what stuck out to me is the fact that at the original 1st job, the bullshit job, the manager acted like she was awestricken or confused. I had to explain to her, very kindly and politely, that though "I enjoy working with you all and I love working here- (LIES)- I can't live here. I have to have a home and lights and gas in it. I can't giggle with you anymore if I'm homeless and what could I come here and enjoy if I don't have electricity or gas when I go home?" Make no mistake, bosses pay bills too! They understand. My point is, don't let anyone fuck you around about your money. You don't have to. Your time is your most valuable asset in this life. Not sex, not conversation, but your time. Cherish it and CHARGE for it.
